Wanderlust Oahu 2014: Get Ready for Yoga, Surf and Sun!

Last February Vibrant Wellness Journal was invited to be a member of the press at the first Wanderlust Festival on Oahu. The Wanderlust yoga festival has grown into international phenomenon; Wanderlust Festivals are now held in Colorado, California, Chile, Vermont, Canada and coming in November to Texas! And we are super excited to be invited back to Wanderlust Oahu in 2014!

Wanderlust’s core mission is to create community around mindful living. Mindful living is a conscious, value-based approach to leading a balanced & fulfilling life. We focus on yoga, eating well, being green, practicing purpose in our partnerships, creating awareness, showcasing art, and encouraging adventure.

who is going to join us?

Oahu is home to a thriving yoga scene, and Wanderlust is a way to bring everyone together to celebrate passion for the practice. At Wanderlust Oahu there were teachers and yogis from around the world, around the country and from here in the islands But there is also music (Michael Franti!), dancing, hooping, slackline yoga, acro-yoga, and so much more yoga-related fun. Best of all, visiting yogis get to take advantage of our fantastic winter weather and practice surfing, stand-up paddling, hiking and more on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu.

The official press release just came out, and we have so much to look forward to: Wanderlust’s unique yoga and meditation programs, thought-provoking Speakeasy lectures, live entertainment, local cuisine, and outdoor activities including paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking, hiking and nature walks, all in a serene Hawaiian paradise. This year’s impressive line-up of both mainland and local talent will seamlessly bring together the yoga and surf communities in one unforgettable celebration.

Wanderlust co-founder Sean Hoess says, “Wanderlust Festivals are not only known for the incredible yoga, music and educational programs offered, but also the breathtaking locations they are offered in,” said Sean Hoess.  “It’s been an incredible journey to take this platform around the world, from mountainside to city parks to beaches and back again.  Being able to offer an outdoor retreat that celebrates the conscious community outside of our summer season is a milestone for Wanderlust, and there’s no place we would rather do it than at Turtle Bay in O’ahu.”
