We’ve written extensively here about the benefits of fiber, but sometimes everyone needs a little healthy fiber supplements to boost their diet. While we love encouraging people to just eat more veggies and other high-fiber foods, sometimes even a veg-head like me needs a little boost.
Psyllium fiber is my favorite supplement, but the grainy texture and the straw-like flavor might not appeal to everyone. I was recently sent some Complete Cleansing Fiber from Trace Minerals Research, and love that it helps bridge the gap between the awful mass-market fibers supplements (loaded with artificial colors, flavors and preservatives) and the super-hippie psyllium husk.
The Complete Cleansing Fiber contains a blend of fibers to help keep your digestion humming along smoothly, but it also offers is probiotics, which offers a host of additional benefits.
There’s nothing I like talking about more than probiotics and fiber, because both of these are true wellness solutions to some of the most common health concerns: weight gain, bloating, constipation, high cholesterol, diabetes, and indigestion. Though it might seem overzealous to relate all these health concerns to digestion, it’s is well-documented in research that improved fiber can help reduce the incidence of these and other lifestyle diseases.
Most Americans do not get enough fiber in their diet, and this can lead to many of the health problems listed above. The reason we don’t get enough fiber is due to poor dietary choices, but this is so quickly, so easily, and so cheaply remedied with healthy fiber supplements.

Our bodies require both soluble and insoluble fiber, both of which can be found in varying amounts in foods. The Complete Cleansing Fiber contains both soluble and insoluble fibers with a mixture of flax, chia, hemp seeds, psyllium seed husk, and natural soluble apple fruit fiber to round out the fiber complex.
The fiber works to clean out the digestive tract of built up waste materials, and the boost of probiotics helps to reestablish health levels of gut flora. The Fiber formula contains 230 million colony forming units (CFU) per serving of 10 complementing strains of friendly bacteria (flora), including L. acidophilus, one of them most important probiotics for our digestive health and vaginal health.

Finally, the Fiber formula contains prebiotics, which are the foods for probiotics. Prebiotics benefit the body by boosting production of the beneficial cultures that naturally reside in the digestive tract and help aid digestion. As soluble fiber reaches the large intestine, the prebiotic fibers begin to ferment and yield short chain fatty acids, which support the function of many regulatory systems in the body, which help improve overall digestive health.

This Fiber formula is easily added into your day: simply mix the powder about with water or juice, swirl or stir, and drink immediately. As with any fiber supplement, it is required to take with ample amounts of liquid, and highly recommended to boost yoru water intake for the day. Higher fiber with not enough water means indigestion and constipation, but with ample amounts of water your digestive will be humming along beautifully within hours or a day. It is recommended to take this product during the day, and do not take less than 5 hours before bedtime for best results.
Thanks to Trace Minerals Research for the generous sample pack.
