Using CBD Oil to Fight Anxiety, Chronic Pain, and Other Conditions

With research suggesting that CBD oil may be able to help reduce anxiety symptoms, chronic pain and other conditions, this means that more and more people are opting to use CBD oil to help tackle and reduce pain. Here are few ways that CBD is effective with many conditions.

Anxiety

While CBD oil is typically used to treat those with physiological symptoms, more and more research has been conducted that indicates CBD oil can also be used to treat a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety. With CBD oil significantly reducing subjective anxiety (according to a study by the University of São Paulo), this means that users who suffer with anxiety may find great benefits in using CBD oil.

Chronic Pain

One of the main health benefits of using CBD oil is for its pain-relieving effects. It is thought that CBD oil interacts with the receptors in the immune system and brain to help reduce inflammation and decrease pain. According to the Journal of Experimental Medicine, CBD oil helped reduce inflammation in rats and mice. Those who suffer with chronic pain may find great benefits when using CBD oil.

Fighting Cancer

CBD oil may also be beneficial for those who are diagnosed with cancer. Research has shown that the compounds found in cannabis show an anti-tumor effect which can amplify the destruction of tumor cells in both leukemia and colon cancer. Investigations have also shown that CBD oil can also be used to prevent the spread of cancer cells. However, it is important to bear in mind that most cancer studies with CBD are pre-clinical which means that they are not tested on human beings. While the findings seem promising, there is no conclusive proof that CBD oil can cure cancer.

Diabetes

A rarely talked about health benefit of CBD oil is that it can help lower the chance of developing diabetes. In a study that was published in Neuropharmacology, researchers explored what effects CBD oil would have on female mice who were non-obese but diabetes-prone. The evidence shown that only 32% of the mice who received CBD oil went on to be diagnosed with diabetes, compared to 100% of the whole group.

Anti-Seizure

Seizures take place when there is an increase in electrical activity in the brain. Recently there have been various high-profile cases that have raised awareness and promoted the benefits of using CBD oil for anti-seizure properties, however it has only been recently that science has been able to prove and confirm this link. A trial that was published in The New England Journal of Medicine went on to explore the effect of CBD on young adults that have Dravet syndrome (a type of epilepsy that brings on fever induced seizures). Those who received CBD oil saw their seizure frequency reduce by a 38.9%.

Understanding the Risks

Before using CBD oil to treat any health conditions that you may have, it is always best to do your research beforehand. While there have been multiple reports and investigations into the benefits of CBD, there is no concrete proof that CBD can cure an illness. It is best to speak to a medical professional about whether CBD oil could be beneficial for you. Also, make sure that you look online to find a wholesale supply of CBD products including hemp oil.

Remember, it is best to seek professional advice first before using CBD oil. That way, you will be able to get an educated and valuable opinion on what route to go down and whether CBD oil could benefit you and your health.
